Operations
At Transport Designs, Inc. our operations department works very hard to keep our Drivers and Owner Operators constantly moving. Our dispatchers cover geographic territories, as opposed dispatching their own specified group of drivers. This is a benefit to our drivers because our dispatchers develop strong relationships and consistency with customers within their territories.
Our dispatchers are very knowledgeable about the trucking industry and have an average of 9 years with our company. They work well as a team to accommodate, both, our drivers and customers daily.
Our operations department is located in both Burnsville, MN and Salt Lake City, UT and consists of 5 dispatchers, 2 operations managers.

Andy Powers - Joins Transport Designs as the new Operations Manager. He has over 21 years experience in all aspects of trucking. His background is primarily in operations in both dry and refrigerated freight. He also has experience in recruiting and as a safety manager in a trucking venture he was a part of. He enjoys the daily balance of servicing the customers needs while maximizing the benefits for each driver with respect to miles and home time. His goal at TDI is to make everyone around him successful, only then will he be able to measure his own success. Andy has an "open door" policy, stop in and say "Hi!"
Don Swain - Outbound Dispatch. Don has been with Transport Designs, Inc. since 1996. He has worked as assistant outbound dispatcher and is currently the head outbound dispatcher. Don deals weekly with our whole fleet of drivers. He works his hardest to send each driver to where they prefer to go. Don handles the outbound in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Dean Winters - has extensive experience in the trucking industry. Dean was an owner operator form 1971 to 1989. He pulled dry vans and refers in all 48 states and Canada. Since leaving the open roads, Dean has been our dispatcher for the states of California, Nevada, and Arizona. Needless to say he is great asset and very knowledgeable about freight on the West Coast. Harlan Ritter - has been with Transport Designs, Inc. since 1992. Harlan covers the most area geographically. Harlan covers all of the areas that Dean, Don,
