There are 10 and 13 speeds and they are set at approximately 65 m.p.h. The trailers will all be 53-foot dry vans. All equipment is maintained properly and goes through regular maintenance inspections.The vast majority of the company equipment have manual transmissions, but we do have a few units that are automatic. Please make your recruiter aware if you require an automatic transmission.MileageAs a driver with Transport Designs, Inc. you can expect 10,000 to 13,000 miles per month. Our average dispatch is 1250 miles, and this is a benefit to you because you're not loading and unloading every day.CompensationBase rates are based on Experience and dedication to employment. Our current pay range is from $.33 CPM to as high as $.40 CPM for a driver with 10+ years of service and a good driving record and no accident. To be eligible a driver must put on 100,000 miles within the calendar year and they must be all accident free. A driver can expect $.005 per mile for all of the miles driven in the calendar year. Recruiting BonusAny employed driver with Transport Designs, Inc. is eligible to receive a recruiting bonus. If you recruit another company driver, you will receive $500.00 and if you recruit a contractor you will receive $1000.00. The new recruit must remain with Transport Designs, Inc. 90 days to receive the full bonus.SettlementsYou can expect to receive your settlement 4 business days from turning your completed trip envelope into the payroll department. For your convenience we can either mail your settlement home or we can direct deposit into your checking account.Paid VacationYou can expect to receive 1 week paid vacation after 120,000 miles. If you do not use your vacation time as paid, it can be cashed out at the end of the year. DOT InspectionsTo recognize responsible drivers, we give a $25.00 bonus to any driver who receives a "no violations found" Driver Vehicle Inspection. There is no limit on the number of bonuses a driver can receive.OtherNo Qualcomm's or Satellite SystemsCash AdvancesT-Check fuel cardsDrivers are welcome to take part in the Minnesota Truck Driving ChampionshipsOrientationOrientation will take place at our Burnsville, Minnesota office. If you are eligible to come in for orientation, we will make arrangements to get you to Savage. We will also pay for your lunch, dinner and hotel expenses while you are here. If you are employed less then 90 days, for any reason, we will charge you back for the costs we incurred to get you to/through orientation.
